A New Era for British Columbia — A 25 Year Celebration

On June 5, 2001, as Cabinet was sworn in, a new era began in British Columbia—marked by a decisive mandate and a clear plan to strengthen the province’s economy, create jobs, and invest in infrastructure. Over the decade that followed, this work helped shape a historic period of economic strength, job creation, and significant infrastructure investment across the province.

This gathering is an opportunity for those who were part of that effort—MLAs, political staff, and party staff—to reconnect and recognize the collective contribution that made it possible.

We are honoured that Gordon Campbell will join us to share reflections on that time and its lasting impact.

This evening is, above all, a celebration of the people behind that era—your work, your commitment, and the collective effort that helped shape British Columbia’s path forward. At Gordon Campbell’s request, any additional proceeds from the event will support Special Olympics BC.
